Transparency

Editorial Policy

How we research, write, edit and maintain the content published on AI Gigs. We believe in transparency as a foundation of trustworthy journalism.

Last updated: May 2026

Our editorial independence

AI Gigs is an independent publication. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Companies and products are covered based on editorial merit — whether we believe the coverage is genuinely useful to our readers. No external party can direct, alter or embargo our editorial content.

Content standards

Every article published on AI Gigs meets the following standards:

  • Accuracy: Claims are supported by evidence, direct testing or clearly attributed sources. Speculative content is clearly labelled as such.
  • Fairness: We present multiple perspectives where relevant and do not distort information to advance a particular viewpoint.
  • Relevance: Content is selected because it is genuinely useful to our target audience of freelancers, remote workers and AI-curious professionals — not for clickbait value.
  • No sensationalism: Headlines accurately reflect article content. We do not use misleading headlines, fake urgency or manufactured controversy.

Fact-checking process

Before publication, articles are reviewed by at least one other team member. For factual claims about tools, pricing or market data, we verify information directly with the primary source (tool documentation, official announcements or direct testing) where possible. Where we rely on secondary sources, these are cited or referenced.

We acknowledge that the AI tools space changes rapidly. We add update notices to articles when significant changes make earlier content outdated.

AI-assisted editing disclosure

AI Gigs may use AI writing and editing tools to assist with research, drafting and proofreading. This is consistent with our focus area. However, all content published on this site is:

  • Initiated and directed by our human editorial team.
  • Reviewed and substantially edited by a human editor before publication.
  • Fact-checked against primary sources where applicable.

We do not publish raw AI-generated content as original human writing. Where AI assistance was used substantively in drafting, we may note this at the end of the article.

Advertising policy

If AI Gigs carries advertising in the future, all advertising will be clearly labelled as "Advertisement," "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership." Advertising placements will not influence editorial coverage, rankings or recommendations. Advertisers cannot request editorial coverage or changes to existing coverage as a condition of advertising.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links in our articles may be affiliate links — meaning we earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase. When affiliate links are present, we disclose this clearly within the article (typically with a note at the top or near the relevant link).

Affiliate arrangements do not influence:

  • Which tools we choose to review or mention.
  • How we evaluate or rank tools.
  • Whether we include negative observations about tools in our reviews.

We only include affiliate links to tools we have editorially assessed as genuinely useful.

Corrections policy

We take accuracy seriously and correct errors promptly. If you believe content on AI Gigs contains a factual error, please contact us at [email protected] with the article URL and the specific correction.

Verified corrections are made to the article, and a correction notice is appended at the bottom of the affected article noting what was changed and when. We do not silently alter articles to remove errors.

Letters, feedback and disagreements

We welcome reader feedback, including disagreements. Constructive criticism helps us improve. Contact us at [email protected]. We read all messages but cannot respond to every submission.
